Zinedine Zidane's former teammate and current Al Hilal striker Karim Benzema scored his first goal for the Saudi Arabian club in their opening match against Al-Fateh.

Benzema, who joined Al Hilal on loan from Real Madrid earlier this month, was impressive throughout the game, creating several chances for his teammates and showing great composure in front of goal.

The French striker, who has been with Al Hilal since January, played a key role in the club's victory over Al-Fateh,Campeonato Brasileiro Glamour scoring the only goal of the match in the 44th minute.

Zidane, who is currently managing Real Madrid, praised Benzema's performance and said that he is excited to have him back at Al Hilal.

"Benzema is a player who I know very well and I am happy to see him back at Al Hilal," Zidane told reporters after the match.

"He is a good player and he will help us achieve our goals."

Al Hilal manager Ali Al-Nasri also praised Benzema's performance, saying that he is "very happy" to have him back at the club.

"We were looking forward to having Benzema back and we are glad that he has delivered today," Nasri said.

"It was a tough game but we managed to get the result and it was nice to see Benzema score his first goal for the club."
